I recently had the chance to read a book titled Change Your Child's Negative Behavior - A calm and peaceful home By: Nuri Levi. This book is an e Book that you can find on Amazon, which they are letting you read for free with a month free kindle read to try.
The book is an easy read, which is great for me not getting so much ME time. I love e Books because I have them on the go. So while I was waiting at the doctor's office this week I could just pull my phone out and read while I waited. The book is about 57 pages and their are 8 chapters (hey you could just read a chapter a day and be done in about a week. ;) ).
Chapter 1: Being A Parent is a Lot Harder Than We Thought
Chapter 2: A little About Myself
Chapter 3: Your place as Parents and Coaches in Your Child's Life
Chapter 4: Parential Authority
Chapter 5: Recharging Your Batteries
Chapter 6: The theory on Which The Method is Based
Chapter 7: Stabilizing the Pyramid
Chapter 8: Setting Goals
Without spoiling the whole read for you I will leave this with a short post for the day. Like I said, the book is a short read, but a short read I feel any parent should read. None of us are perfect parents even though some of us try to come as the 'perfect parent(s)'. Also not every child is the perfect child. (not downing your child or anything. ;P ). The book is very informative and just straight to the point in every chapter. I love that because it is not being held out and keeps your attention fine. She deffinitely does not sugar coat anything. She states when your child is acting up with negative behaivor that there is more behind the reason for it. You may as a parent just need to dig a little and see what it is that trigger's your child's behaivor there may be more that you just do not see or realize is going on. I found it helpful with my 4 year old, there are some great ideas for every parent in this book. If you want to take a quick look and read for yourself here is the Amazon Link.
