Hands Free Leash? How in the world?

Boomerz Best let me have a chance to try out their Park Pack and share my experience with these products. I must admit hearing 'hands free leash' was a little frightening and crazy. I have a lab pit mix who may still act like a puppy but she is a medium to large sized dog with a lot of muscle. On a regular leash she still pulls, even after having her for a year and a half, she still pulls on the leash not caring that she is choking herself in the process. But I figured why not try it out? What could really happen? My dog dragging me by my waist through the yard would be a great sight for the neighbors.

My BoomerzBest Park Pack came with the following:

A dog collar, that is adjustable from 17 inches – 27 inches A belt, that looks like a dog collar A bungee leash 2 dog treats & A portable dog bowl.

When you open up the product you may be like me and think what in the world, looks like 2 dog leashes and a bungee cord? But one is for your pup, the other fits around your waist. Both have hooks for the bungee leash to latch on. I decided to hook myself up first and then put the collar around my dog. My dog thinks it is fun to jump around with excitement and figured I would never get it attached to myself. My pup sat nicely and waited for me to put the collar around her, she gets very excited about walks so she was ready. I decided that testing it out walking with her in our backyard, we are still working on this honestly. I don't want to just stick it on and run with her, I am pretty positive she could run a lot faster than myself. :P

The collapsible dog bowl is a little different than others I have tried, but I use to have one like this in the past and loved it. The material is like a fabric canvas like, which is great because it is easy to fold up, and no worry about messes or fabric messing up. This bowl has a no spill design and you can use it for food or water, your choice.

The dog treats that come along in this pack are Greenies. Mine say they are for petite dogs weighing 15-25 pounds. My dog surely over that, pretty much double. I am not sure if they offer different treats for different sized dogs or not. But I gave her the cute looking green toothbrush like treat and it was gone pretty quick. But a treat for doing so well is awesome idea! Greenies is #1 Vet Recommended Dental Chew for dogs. These treats help control plaque, tartar build up and that nasty dog breath. My dog seemed to approve!

I absolutely love this whole Park Pack, I think that it is an awesome idea. I am hoping to use it to help get my dog from pulling so much, it is great feeling that I have all the control, she can not get far from me and I can tug at the leash if needed. Hopefully we can move up to some jogging in the yard and see how the running thing goes. But for right now we are pretty happy doing what we are, hey we are both getting some much needed exercise!
